Overview
CTZN6 is a hard rock–metal project rooted in analog sound, high vibration, and raw creative energy. Originally recorded over 20 years ago as a passion project by Dave Temple and Perry Segal, the music lived quietly in the archives until it was revisited, refined, and finally brought to life.
Our role was to help translate this powerful body of work into a digital presence that reflected both its sonic intensity and its modern direction.
The Goal
To create a digital home for CTZN6 that captured the project’s high-energy sound and mythology, with a visual direction inspired by gaming culture. The goal was to build a bold, immersive look that felt cinematic, electric, and immediately resonant with audiences familiar with gaming, metal, and digital worlds.
Our Work
CTZN6’s music was recorded and refined at one of Western Canada’s top studios, MCC Recording Studio in Calgary. With updated production and final tweaks complete, the project was ready for release.
We developed a digital presence that matched the scale and intensity of the music, drawing inspiration from gaming aesthetics, analog technology, and high-voltage visuals.
Our work included:
- Designed a website that reflected the project’s sonic power and gaming-inspired visual direction
- Developed a cohesive digital identity across web, audio, and visual platforms
- Set up music distribution via UnitedMasters to prepare the project for release
CTZN6 also collaborated with Calgary-based author Julie Hiner, known for her heavy metal horror writing. Her creative influence helped bridge the worlds of music, storytelling, and dark cinematic themes, adding another layer to the project’s identity without overshadowing the music itself.
The Result
CTZN6 now has a digital home that feels immersive, powerful, and aligned with its sound. The platform reflects the project’s gaming-inspired aesthetic while giving the music space to stand on its own.
What began as a long-held passion project has finally been released into the world, supported by a digital presence that honors its origins and sets the stage for what comes next.
